The Radicle Project
A downloadable game for Windows
Congratulations! You have been chosen to participate in the Radicle Project! All I ask is that you solve a few mazes for me. Not everybody will be able to survive this ordeal: it will be up to you who survives and who is left to die. However, death is not necessarily permanent, and you will soon learn how to change the past. I look forward to your performace.

I'm honestly impressed by the level design, especially because of the different possibilities on each maze. My only complaint would be that the start is kind of frustrating. There is a difficulty spike on the third maze and the mystery only starts to get interesting after you learn about the root.exe system. Right after I learned about the different timelines I felt compelled to see all of the possibilities, but before that I almost wanted to drop the game. Overall it is pretty good and impressive for a jam game.
Glad to hear that you found it interesting. I had a hard time gauging difficulty, so it’s great to get feedback on that. I’m probably going to make a post-Jam version of the game, so I’ll try to ease the difficulty curve into that third maze. Thanks for playing and leaving a comment!
It's a fun game, and it could have some tweaks that would make it even better. Smiling icons of the characters are breaking the experience, maybe if they frown or have a neutral face it would be much more believable? Also the game doesn't automatically skip dialogue when activating root.exe, which could be annoying. Otherwise the game has an interesting story and gameplay, good job on making it through the jam!
Thanks for playing! I had never thought about adding character icons with different emotions, but I really like that idea. The skipping dialogue was something that I had hoped to add but ran out of time for. I am probably going to go back and add both of these elements to the game after the jam and release a post-jam version with the feedback I get. Again, thanks for taking the time to leave some advice!
